Happy Harvest Poncho by Elizabeth Smith Knits is a seamless poncho/oversized sweater vest using a bulky-weight yarn. It’s a quick knit that combines a fun acorn lace stitch pattern with simple garter and stockinette stitch. It uses 2 colors - a main color for most of the garment and a contrasting color for the top portion of the back and the cowl.  The contrasting color at the upper back can be optional if you choose. The poncho also features button closures at each side (to create armholes), a high/low hemline and a separate, removable cowl that can be worn with or without the garment (or with a completely different outfit!).  Pattern includes written Instructions, charts and schematic and is appropriate for an advanced beginner to intermediate skill level.  Elizabeth's patterns are well-written and include lots of ways to get pattern support, plus she's a local Maine designer that is well-loved for her designs.  This is a fun way to keep warm on cool evenings and is a great sweater alternative!
