Homestead Sport from Primrose Yarn Co. is a colorful and ever-changing 2-ply yarn that will create stunning knit, crochet and woven projects. Made of 100% American superwash merino, Homestead is mill spun in northwest Pennsylvania.  Since each ply of Homestead Sport is dyed prior to spinning, the combination of colors will vary considerably from skein-to-skein and batch-to-batch.  It is these colors variations that make Homestead Sport such a unique yarn and why it is so sought after.  Our photos are not always representative of the blends of colors that we have on the shelf.  If you're searching for a very specific color combination, we encourage you to call us so we can help you find just the right skein.  Blending skeins is encouraged for multi-skein projects.

Note about Homestead Sport Yarn – While we love the exquisite color combinations available in this unique yarn, there can be significant variations from skein to skein. Please follow these guidelines to ensure success:

    • Purchase enough yarn to complete your project, allowing for a bit of overage, just in case!
    • Not all differences in skeins are obvious when comparing skeins.
    • For projects that require 2 or more skeins, we highly recommend blending your skeins by using 2 balls at once, alternating every couple of rows from each ball. This should blend any variations between skeins.
